OK, so after much clamoring, here's more job info, to which you can add my GA state liscense went through so no more hurdels paperwork wise except to sign the contract next week.
The job is in Lilburn, GA right near where Ronald Reagan hits Five Fork Tricum if you have any idea where that is....not really in town per se but much much closer to our home. My commute will be no more than 1/2 hr and hours are 9-6 with a full hour off for lunch every day.
I have 2 weeks off between the end of residency and the start of the job, and then I'm part time (20 hr/wk) for 3 months to get my feet under me. After that I go to full time, which is 4 days a week.
As far as call, there is absolutely none!!! I have no concept of how that will feel.
Weekends, well I'll have one weekend a month seeing new babies. And one half day on 2 Sundays during the month, hopefully when I'm in nursery as well so I'l have 2 fuul weekend off a month. The Sunday shifts wil be made up for by a half day off during the week.
I'll have 3 weeks of vacation during the year and an additonal week of sick/holidays.
Malpractice, health insurance, and some money for CME (continuing medical education- classes, journals, etc) will be covered as well.
The first year I'll make a little less because of the part time thing but it will still be a significant raise from what I'm making now.
There, now you know.
