Maybe I'll kill him after all
Apr. 11th, 2008 03:45 pmSo, most of the faithful reader's know J was an eeejit and feel down dunk and hurt his shoulder. And how that cost me many, many hours of sleep and an ER bill. An much wrath of course.
His hurt shoulder led to him driving my car, which led to me being in a rental car for nearly 3 weeks and some veyr expensive repairs. Luckily paid for by the other driver's insurance. But still, much drama and many many phone calls.
Well today we got yet another bill in the mail. Apparently the 1200 dollars we paid for a 3 hours wait, and Xray, and some pain pills was insufficient. Now they want another $300 for the less than 5 minute exam the ER doc did. Apparently, the doctor and the hosptial and the radiology suite all bill spearately. So there may be yet another bill coming.
Needless to say we CAN NOT afford this. If I totally drained my savings we could pay it all off, but I really don't want to do that since my small savings account is all that keeps me from freaking out about money fairly often, i.e. whenever we run close to the overdraft line. I really really hate this. Oh yeah, and the only deal they could give me ws a 20% discount if I put it on a credit card. So much for having no balance on my card. ARGH!
In conclusion our health care system sux0rs, since it I could afford $1500 I'd get him insurance already!
