All Hallow's Eve
Nov. 2nd, 2007 09:56 amWednesday was my day off, so it was automatically a good day...but it turned out to be even better than I had anticipated.
Firstly, I got to sleep in. Tuesdays I usually nap and then stay up and wait for Jason to come home after work. He got home at a reasonable (read before 2 am) for a change and we got to hang out for a couple of hours before going to bed. Having stayed up late,I got to sleep in the next morning....and afternoon. Until 3 PM actually.
Secondly J had a nice surprise planned. He had been called in Monday night, depriving me of company and the planned nice dinner he was actually going to *gasp* cook. Apparently, even though he wasn't supposed to have another day off until at least Thursday, he pulled some strings and got the day off! So instead of having to dash off to work as I anticipated I got the boy all night long *squee*
Handing out candy was actually a lot of fun, since we're in a real neighborhood now. I got to talk to the kids next door about their costumes, and finally got my pumpkin carved. Unfortunately, I only got 3 bags of candy and ran out fairly quickly. Next year I'll have to remember to get more candy.
Yesterday was a down day. Work dragged, despsite me going to bed early. By the time I got home, all I wanted was to veg out and rest. J. actually got out of work early and wanted me to come up to Bethlehem with him to visit our old neighbors. Sadly, I just wasn't up to it. So he went alone and came home about 4 am. and I watched some TV and went to bed early.
I have no idea what I'm going to do tonight or tomorrow really. Clean the house probably, and maybe steal some hammock time.
